A Young family wanted to transform an uninspired space into a beautiful setting for recreation and entertaining. An outdoor fire pit acts as a focal point when evening falls, serving as a gathering place under the giant California pepper trees, illuminated by the vintage perforated olive bucket lanterns above. Paths meander through the garden to various areas for recreation, including the rustic built in BBQ and oversized organic shaped lawn. This space is surrounded by large boulders for kids to climb, sit on and play around. We worked to incorporate the natural beauty of Malibu into a fun, feel good and contemplative landscape.
